Sit On Santa Flash Mob — Fools Facebookers. Sit on Santa is a Gay sex term.

“Sit on Santa is an antiquated gay inside joke that was part of the gay jargon over 70 years ago, but is making a comeback in 2011.  The original meaning implied a young man having sex with a much older man — a Santa.   It’s an expression that has fallen by the wayside for decades but is popular again.”  [Benjamin Switchy MD.  University of Munich Center for Language and Idiomatic Lexography.]

There’s this thing getting passed along Facebook — a video of a Flash Mob in a New Jersey Mall who put on a little impromptu skit called “You’re never too old to sit on Santa” — and people think it’s really nifty — but you know what? The joke is on the Facebooker because this Flash Mob’s intention is to mock Santa with sexual innuendo.

How could any sane person not see hear that the lyrics sung by the untalented male lead are purely sexually suggestive?

You can accuse me of having a dirty mind but I was the first person I know of who pointed out  the gleeful moments Anderson Cooper and many others in the gay slang loop as they happily used the word “teabagging” when we first met the Tea Party.  Most people did not realize that teabagging is a sexual practice.  Anderson Cooper knew it but he got away with it for a few weeks.   Cooper loved this and he was like a kid in a candy store — or himself in an adult book store.

You’re never too old to sit on Santa is old gay slang taken from the antiquated gay term “Sit On Santa.”  The phrase dates back as far as the 1930s — and the meaning suggested a young male, usually a hustler,  sitting atop an elderly man’s you know what who was paying for the sex.  It eventually was used to describe any sex a young male street hustler would have with an elderly paying customer.  Today, with the use of drugs like Viagra, the phrase has re-emerged and morphed into several different forms — “Lemon Party” being one of the most popular.

So, as usual, people are mindlessly passing along this Facebook fiasco and thinking that it’s really cute and Christmasy — but it’s not — it’s a sexual joke and all you Facebook video sharers have been tricked.   The people in that mall must have been real idiots.  You mean to tell me that not one gay retail guy in Macy’s didn’t snicker at this?  Be serious!
