Japan’s nuclear crisis deepened dramatically Tuesday. As safety officials sought desperately to avert catastrophe, the government said radioactive material leaking from reactors was enough to “impact human health” and the risk of more leaks was “very high.”
One irate meteorologist had this to say about the nuclear nightmare that is going on in Japan.
“These fuckers are going to ruin the United States and the whole fucking planet. the winds blow right towards Hawaii and the USA mainland — and they say, ” the levels seem to have…” — -fucking assholes! This is going to be so bad for the USA — mark my words. They don’t know what the fuck they are doing yet there are fucking jerk-offs on TV saying what a great job the Japanese nuclear engineers are doing — I would hate to see a bad job. The truth is that like typical Japanese giggling idiots, they had no plan in place — they’re just like th Japanese tourists who push you around in the subway and then giggle because they’re fucking clueless morons. ”
In a nationally televised statement, Prime Minister Naoto Kan said that radiation has spread from four reactors of the Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear plant in Fukushima province that was one of the hardest-hit in Friday’s 9.0-magnitude earthquake and the ensuing tsunami.
He urged anyone within 19 miles (30 kilometers) of the plant to stay indoors or risk getting radiation sickness.
“The level seems very high, and there is still a very high risk of more radiation coming out,” Kan said.
A cascade of three explosions at the Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear complex was set in motion when last Friday’s quake and tsunami knocked out power, crippling the cooling systems needed to keep nuclear fuel from going into full meltdown.
This is the nature of nuclear. They think they have control of it, but if it happened here, it would have the same end result. Do you think the Gulf oil spill was handeled expertly.It is all hit and miss- they do not know anymore here than the Japanese.Besides who engineered these monsters. And I am sure we have nothing to say about polluting this planet- we are doing more then our share of it.
Eileen I don’t agree with you. the Japanese have this weird sick pride — yeah it helps them but it screws everybody else. They had no control of the situation from the get-go but they didn’t want to admit it. Now that the American nuke scientists are there, the whole thing is calming down and the truth about leaking plutonium is acknowledged and is currently being addressed. Also, the oil spill in the Gulf was handled by experts and many of the people who were screaming about the death of the oceans are now swimming and fishing in the gulf. Lotta ignorant people spouted off, so to speak, about that situation. Lastly, the planet is cleaner now than it has been in nearly 200 years — unless you count what the Chinese and southeast Asians are doing. The Western world is clean and it keeps getting cleaner. I remember when I was a little kid and the newspaper had a picture of a dead fish on the cover and it said that the all the rivers in the USA would be dead and toxic by the year 2005 — WRONG! The Hudson River is teaming with striped bass and the Hackensack Meadowlands ( a former toxic dump) is now classified by the US Department of The Interior as a Pristine Wilderness.
