Geraldine Ferraro passed away today after a long battle with Multiple Myeloma, a cancer of the blood forming tissues (bone marrow). There are treatment for this disease and a person can live a long time with this disease. New treatments may be emerging every day.
Geraldine Ferraro was a great American — Google her and read about her life. She was a Democrat in the great tradition of REAL Democrats like JFK and FDR. Ms. Ferraro was a very inspirational person who should be remembered fondly by all Americans.
