Singer Teena Marie has sadly died at age 54. and now it has been revealed that she recently overcame an addiction to prescription drugs. Her body was delivered to the coroner’s office where it will be autopsied. If prescription drugs were the cause, those results could take up to eight weeks.
The cause of death is not known, the only information that her manager gave is that Teena was found dead in her home by her daughter on Sunday evening.
Teena will be best remembered by her hits “Lovergirl” and “I’m a Sucker For Your Love”, but also by her collaboration with Rick James in the song “Fire & Desire”.
