Betty White Facebook Hoax About Balls And Vaginas.

UPDATE FROM BETTY HERSELF:  My Dear Damien, Thank you so much for trying to get rid of this silly prank on my behalf.  I can’t say that I am angry at my many wonderful fans for distributing the story, but I am disturbed – because of its content – that it has become such a sensation and attributed to me.  Of course I enjoy a blue joke as much as the next person, but this one goes just a bit beyond where I would step professionally. Thank you. You’re a sweetie. Hugs and Kisses, Betty. ( 3:50 PDT)

There is a new Facebook Hoax going around and it’s one where there is a picture of Betty White and a quote attributed to her.

“Why do some people say, ‘Grow some balls?’  Balls are weak and sensitive.  If you really wanna get tough, grow a vagina.   Those things take a pounding.” Betty White

Betty White never said this but of course the stupid morons on Facebook are spreading it around — so happy that Betty White said something all sassy and dirty.

BETTY WHITE NEVER SAID THIS!   Geez, I even had to fix the punctuation on the stupid quote.   The truth is that the joke was originally written by comic #Sheng Wang on Mixtape Comedy Show.  Wang borrowed it from something that was supposedly said by another famous comic,  and now somebody affixed Betty’s name to it with the stupid excuse that it SOUNDED like something she would say.  The same thing has been done to #George Carlin and #Don Rickles and #Bill Cosby.  It doesn’t matter how cute it “sounds” coming from Betty White, because she didn’t say it.

We got first hand information from this Hollywood writer that she indeed did not say it.

“I think that people on Facebook who pass this stuff around are mindless..  It takes just a few seconds to verify.  I have had morons tell me “so what, she didn’t  say it — it’s still funny.”  You don’t put quotes around words and then attribute those words to a specific person.  It’s not only illegal, it’s stupid.”  Source —> http://www.imdb.com/name/nm3834680/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1

Watch the video link on comment #5 below — and then tell me who said what?  Also note below the letter sent to me by Betty White herself.

  1. I stumbled upon this website by accident but I enjoyed reading this post and all the comments after (especially Mammie’s). Damien, thank you for clarifying who actually said this stupid quote. I KNEW it wasn’t Betty White! The quote is so annoying; I’ve seen it many times on Facebook and Pinterest… too many to count. Also, I don’t even think it’s funny to begin with; I like to think my sense of humor is a bit too refined to enjoy jokes about balls and vaginae. And you’re right, it is wrong to misquote people and the people who pass around this picture end up looking stupid. I’m pretty sure I unsubscribed to anyone who shared this idiotic quote.

  2. Your right it’s not about Betty, DDM! It’s about people making up quotes and posting them! My point is to you find those people and leave ones alone that think they are funny or post them! Im glad you know about the BIBLE! Try reading all of it and focus on judging! You must lead a boring life to make things like quotes made up such a big deal. You need to focus on your own life or get one if you don’t have one! Have a great day!

  3. NO NO NO! You did not hear Betty White say this! In the entire history of The Damien Zone, this is the closest I have ever come to trashing a comment simply because it’s a complete LIE! Everything is bigger in Texas — even the fucking liars.

  4. I’d be interested in your proof of Betty White saying that on Comedy Central, good sir.

  5. He has no proof — she never said it. She wrote to me – to this website and said that she did not say it — but he can’t read.

  6. It’s a unicorn example, this isn’t a huge problem, I THOUGHT I heard betty white say this somewhere too because it definitely sounds like her. I don’t think it’s a big deal for it to become a meme, all memes are fake, do you really think cats talk? (in English no less?) of course not, but to some lonely fools it funny to see a pic of a fat cat saying “can I haz cheeseburgers?” Seriously, I obviously don’t have a life because I’m here writing this on some ghost town corner of the ‘net, but that doesn’t mean you all shouldn’t have a life, I know I make it look fun and grandiose, but just say no!

  7. This is a ghost town, eh? You’re the 373,908th person to read about this lifeless “meme” ( notwithstanding the fact that you don’t seem to know the definition of entire meme concept) — and aside from the 108 comments – there are 2,116 emails — all hateful and stupid like your comment.

  8. Santa Claus: “You mad bro”?
Easter Bunny: “Yeah, people keep posting a picture of me with “I shit eggs” under it.
Damien: “You should sue them, that’s illegal”

Me: “This is all for you Damien! And also a giftcard for anger management!”

  9. She said it on a comedy central roast. I believe it was for Shatner. She also made a joke about catching the flowers at Shatner’s Wedding and wanting to catch the cock ring at Sulu’s wedding. I’ve watched it multiple times. I have no idea why she would want to deny it now. Perhaps she regrets saying it. Comedy Central controls the videos pretty hard, so I can’t find a clip of it at the moment, but I won’t lose sleep not being able to prove to the internet that something I saw actually happened. Just thought I’d be informative. The original source of the joke is Sheng Wang, by the way. Also, Dan Savage ganked it from Sheng for one of his columns.

  10. Other Betty White quote from Shatner roast: “Ya know, I’ve been a huge trekkie ever since the show first aired. That’s why I’m so thrilled to see Nichelle and George Takei here tonight because, let’s face it. We all know Shatner’s nuts, but George has actually tasted them! ”

Doesn’t seem any less “blue” to me. Whatever.

  11. Damien, thank you for clearing this up. It seems that folks want either to believe in their own imagination or they want to just be a protagonist. Don’t let them get to you.

  12. Thank you, JDkilgore. But the shit keeps flying. I am fighting a tough battle against the disease of stupidity. I’m glad you harkened back to this story for me.

  13. On the other hand, she did talk a lot about her muffin on SNL:

“Well, that’s true, many bakers from my era have very dry or even yeasty muffins”.

  14. She did say this it was on an episode of Golden Girls…she may not have thought of it, but it was on the show. I was up late watching the show and she says it.

  15. Joe Martinez– you are either a moron or a sick liar — NO SHE DOES NOT EVER SAY THAT ANYWHERE — LEAST OF ALL ON THE GOLDEN GIRLS!! !!!! 100% NOT TRUE!!! Are you out of your fucking mind?

  16. “Betty White never said this but of course the stupid morons on Facebook are spreading it around…”

I am neither stupid, nor a moron. Yes, I thought this was funny. Doesn’t matter to me who said it. I’m sorry someone (NOT ME) combined her photo with your funny sentence, but reading it and laughing about it, then sharing the humor with someone else does not in ANY WAY make me “stupid”.

Jokes have circulated through social circles for all of time (since humans developed enough brain to form and understand humor, anyway). No one… NO. ONE. remembers who told the first joke. NO ONE has any idea who made up the first “Super Pickle” joke. AND…. no one CARES.

It’s FUNNY. That’s the whole point.

Grow up and get a clue.

  17. Mary G — you wrote — “Jokes have circulated through social circles for all of time (since humans developed enough brain to form and understand humor, anyway”).

That’s true, Mary. Humans have indeed developed enough brain to form and understand humor. I am, however, very sorry that you were left out of that whole natural selection thing. BUt I am sure that your parents were proud of your primitive little brain just the same.

Listen, Mary — a misquote is a misquote. Is that so hard to understand? Your response is my joy — I write the blog entry and you supply the dumbness. The best part is that you think you’re sounding really smart. NOT!

  18. If she didn’t say it, then creating a pic to attribute it to her is dishonest. Spreading the false attribution ignorantly, when it takes so little time to verify, is foolish. Not the worst, most egregious foolishness, but foolish is the right word.

Taking a bit of time out of your life to create a quick blog entry to call out a bit of dishonesty and foolishness is both easy and helpful. Good for you, Damien. Those who get pissy that you did this are obviously taking time out of their lives to advocate for dishonesty and foolishness. Not so good for them.

Who, exactly, needs to “get a life,” again? I’ll leave that to be determined.

  20. Thank you for this post. Mis-attributed quotes are a pet peeve of mine.Credit/blame should go where credit/blame is due, and affixed to those who don’t deserve credit/blame.

  21. Just to put my two cents in. I also saw Betty White actually give the vaginas are tough monologue. It was probably part of a roast but I can’t remember exactly and did not find a video after 5-10 minutes of Googling. Perhaps it was not the Shatner roast. But, here is the thing: It was Betty White and I HEARD her and saw her say it. I am not mistaken or remembering incorrectly, because it was her distinctive voice and it was the first time I ever heard it and it was hilarious. Maybe they got her to do it after years of rumors. She has a great since of humor so why wouldn’t she? You see that she was ok with saying all the stuff she said at the Shatner roast about balls and George Takei tasting them so why would she be such a prude about “vaginas really take a pounding”? It’s funny and not even that risqué for a roast meant for adults. How do you know the email you are getting is really from her or if it is, she is not being coy and pulling your leg?

  22. You could not find it with a Google search because it DOES NOT EXIST. I know the email I get from Betty is real because her manager and her publicicsts both forward her messages to me.

  24. Stop trying to sneak CODE onto my website, and I don’t give a shit about your opinion of the Betty White story — you’re a hacking kunt.

  25. 10 bonus points for misattributing a quote supposedly on IMDB that isn’t actually at the link provided. To make a point, I am assuming… pretty clever! 🙂
